We exist to glorify God together by trusting Jesus and obeying all He commands.

We aim to help each other do this in all of life by: Trusting God's Word, Loving God's People, and Living God's Mission.

Here are some things that make Eagle Heights a unique church in a unique place.

We are striving to be a biblical people.

All of our convictions and beliefs are informed, driven and directed by the Bible.

We are striving to be a Christ-centered people.

All things were created by and for Jesus. (Col. 1:16, Eph. 1:10, Phil. 2:10, John 14:6)

We are striving to be a caring people.

We believe that Christ-likeness is both loving God by obeying His commands and loving others.

(Matt. 22:37-40)

We are a diverse people.

We are multigenerational and come from different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. Everyone is welcome at Eagle Heights. (Gal. 3:28)

We are committed to the advancement of the gospel.

We hope to be a church that lives out the great commission. Stillwater is one of the most un-churched communities in Oklahoma.  (Matt. 28:19-20)

We are an elder-led church.

We believe that the overwhelming biblical model is that a church should be led or governed by a plurality of pastor/elders. (Acts 11:30, 14:23, 15:2-6, 15:22, 20:17, 21:18, 1 Tim. 5:17, Titus 1:5)

We are a Southern Baptist affiliated church.

We are followers of Jesus Christ first and foremost. We are also glad to be an SBC partner in missions and discipleship endeavors. We do also partner with biblically sound and like-minded churches to advance the gospel both locally and to the ends of the earth. Likeminded organizations are The Gospel Coalition, Acts29, Together for the Gospel, 9Marks, and Desiring God.

We are a church committed to debt-free ministry.

We will not go into debt as a church to build or for any other reason.

We are striving to be a missional church.

To connect with the culture, we believe that it is important to change our methods without changing Jesus as taught in the Bible.

We are modern in our worship preference.

Our music is modern in style while maintaining a deep biblical rootedness and appreciation for the church in all ages. We embrace and use songs, hymns and spiritual songs - old and new, loud and soft - as they point us to Christ through Scripture.

We embrace that we are in a University Micropolitan.

Stillwater is a small town with a major university.  We plan accordingly around semesters, embracing university students and their stage of life. University students are a major component of the life of Eagle Heights.

We are casual, yet reverent.

We want to be reverent in our worship and living, but we are a church that is casual in dress and appearance, allowing people from different walks of life to connect at Eagle Heights.
